What a wasted opportunity. I’ll vote for Obama, but I can’t bring myself to do much else.

why?

Why? Because I think we’re forgetting that half of democrats did not vote for him, and the most recent polls showed that only a bare majority of Hillary supporters are backing him and the rest are more ambivalent. To win, you need votes, and no one would have gotten more of them for him than having Clinton as his VP, far more than she could mobilize on the right to vote against the ticket. Barack Obama is not doing as well as we thought, and McCain is on the rise. He needs something to really put the electricity back in his campaign. The convention organizers say they’re trying to maximize excitement and enthusiasm with the convention, but doing that with Joe Biden is kind of anti-climactic, no matter how epic Obama’s speech will be at the Invesco stadium. It would be nowhere near as exciting and dramatic as having Clinton by his side. It’s a wasted opportunity.

You Clinton lovers simply fail to acknowledge that she is not well liked by Independents and swingable republicans.

So some of her supporters are simply bitter and don’t want to support him? That’s about the maturity level of high school politics. If her supporters really think it’s ok to just sit back and let McCain win, then they should go off and form their own party.

Biden in a good choice for many reasons, not just for what he brings to the ticket pre-election, but what he can do when in office.

I don’t want a liar....that is what I don’t want and a man (Joe Biden who is a without a doubt anti-Indian).

I cannot believe this claim of change....is being made...Biden (pro-Iraq voter)....and Obama disqualified himself from change when he said he believed in the traditional definition of marriage...that is the same old Washington Politics.

He’ll tear apart any vice president McCain offers up in the VP debate, easily

Biden’s a smart pick. He’s a foreign policy wonk, he’ll be a tremendous attack dog as VP to go after McCain, he’s respected and gets things done in the senate (so he’d make a good pres) and he’ll help greatly with this election’s swing voters, working-class white males.
